i love this color combination of brown, pale mustard, gray, and seafoam.

when i go rummaging in huge tins of buttons at junk shops, i tend to pick out any knotted buttons i can find, as well as anything with rhinestones (duh.) here's my collection so far. i've been fortunate to find multiples of some (like the small white one on the top left) but they're mostly lonely onlys.

in honor of the knot, a very dimensional thing, i thought i'd pair the usual fabric offering with some bakelite/celluloid brooches. consider this the surf 'n' turf of posts!

merry belated christmas! did you guys all have lovely festive trees and decorations? no tree this year but i made a wreath from some scrap branches my friend picked up and i stuck feathers into it after wrapping it with gold braid.

i've never seen such a classy holiday themed dress!

don't know if you saw in the news but it dumped tons of snow here in new york! the MTA is in a tizzy and i even got the day off from work!!!
