cops and robbers

police and thieee-eeves in the street

i shot the sherriff...

... but i didn't shoot no deputy

she called the fuzz and i split out of town!

P! S! these are some sewing projects i am in the midst of finishing up. on the top is a 40s du barry day dress from fabric i picked up at this tiny chinatown fabric store. the middle is a 50s simplicity jumpsuit- i picked up the fun cotton at a store called five and diamond in hudson, ny. the bottom is a 40s simplicity party dress made from velvet and a gorgeous vintage polished cotton paisley print with gold silk-screened accents.

atomic static

sorry for the long delay in posts! happy week after valentine's day everyone- the spoonflower contest ended and i didn't win, but it's okay- i'm pretty pleased with the pattern and will be ordering a proof so if anyone wants to order it, they can in the near future.

now how about some atomic fabrics to brighten up a snowy day over here? the wintry mix made the trees rather graphic looking with clumps of snow. kind of like this vicious looking fabric here:

while i was drinking coffee this morning, i suddenly realized how funny it is that there was clothing made for women with fishing lures..... i'm sure there were little boy outfits made from them too, but just look at that dress below!

and you shure smell good too!

i also just noticed that this is my 50th post! which may not seem like much but for someone with an failing track record of blog upkeep, it's an exciting little achievement!
